Courses in material estimation, advanced blueprint reading, building codes, basic electrical theory, plumbing, and introduction to residential and commercial HVAC prepare students to construct a tiny home or something similar. Safety procedures on job sites are stressed throughout. The courses are designed for students to earn credits while on-the-job with eligible employers.

External learning opportunities available during or upon completion of Intermediate certificate through internships, apprenticeships, or other applied/work-based options.
