Amarillo College Associate of Science in Health Care Management prepares students to become a vital member of the healthcare team. The program is dedicated to provide a high quality, inclusive and diverse, student centered learning environment. Students completing the AS degree can enter the workforce, or transfer to the university to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Management or a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Information specific to the institution that a student wishes to transfer can be obtained by contacting program advisor Judy Baker or program director LaVon Barrett.

General Education Requirements (42 Semester Hours)
Life & Physical Sciences/Institutional - 12 Hours
Students must select EDUC 1100 for the Health Promotion Option or EDUC 1200 for the Nursing Option for a total of 60 credit hours for the program. Language, Philosophy & Culture - 3 Hours
Social/Behavioral Sciences - 3 Hours
Major Course Requirements (18 Semester Hours)
Health Promotion Option - 18 Hours
- Any 4 semester hour science course (Health Promotion Track ONLY)
Nursing Option - 18 Hours
*One credit from EDUC 1200 Total (60 Semester Hours)
