This certificate prepares students to design, implement, monitor and maintain enterprise computer networks, customize and optimize software, and handle routine server and endpoint hardware/software maintenance. Courses utilize hands-on labs that aid the student in preparing to take the following certification exams: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Linux+, and Cisco CCNA. This certificate leads to an AAS in Computer Networking/Cyber Security.
All major course requirements are to be taken in the order approved by the student’s individual CIS Advisor. The student must have a “C” or higher in all required courses to progress to the next level of the program. To remain eligible for enrollment in subsequent CIS courses, a student may repeat a particular CIS course only once and may repeat only two CIS courses.
