This certificate provides students with basic knowledge of maintaining and managing small networks. Courses utilize hands-on labs and prepare the student to take the following certification exams: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network +, and CompTIA Security+. This certificate leads to an AAS in Computer Networking/Cyber Security.

All major course requirements are to be taken in the order approved by the student’s individual CIS Advisor. The student must have a “C” or higher in all required courses to progress to the next level of the program. To remain eligible for enrollment in subsequent CIS courses, a student may repeat a particular CIS course only once and may repeat only two CIS courses.
