Completion of the A.A.S degree allows the recipient to sit for the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) paralegal certification test. It is highly recommended that both the A.A.S. recipient and the Paralegal Certificate recipient take a preparatory class in order to help ensure success in testing for the NALA certification.

A grade of C or higher is required for satisfactory completion of all Major Course Requirements and Major Course Options courses. Students having education, training or experience in word processing or keyboarding are encouraged to earn credit by examination for courses listed as RELATED COURSE REQUIREMENTS.

*All Associate (AA, AS) degrees and Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degrees have a 1 credit hour institutional requirement of EDUC 1100: First Year Seminar.
