Students learn foundational programming logic, client-side web technologies, database concepts as they relate to web applications, and essential business computing tools.
This certificate prepares students for entry-level roles supporting or developing web content and web-based solutions and serves as a foundation for advanced coursework.
All major course requirements are to be taken in the order approved by the student's individual CIS Advisor. The student must have a “C” or higher in all required courses to progress to the next level of the program. To remain eligible for enrollment in subsequent CIS courses, a student may repeat a particular CIS course only once and may repeat only two CIS courses.
