CIS - Computer System Support Certificate

The CIS - Computer Systems Support Certificate prepares the student for computer support tasks such as replacing computer parts, maintaining small networks, maintaining security of computer systems, supporting database systems, and creating and maintaining files using Microsoft Office. Students are prepared to take the following industry certification exams: Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), CompTIA A+, and Security + exams.

All major course requirements are to be taken in the order approved by the student’s individual CIS Advisor. The student must have a “C” or higher in all required courses to progress to the next level of the program. To remain eligible for enrollment in subsequent CIS courses, a student may repeat a particular CIS course only once and may repeat only two CIS courses.
